Warranty Terms

Warranty on services and products

For the warranty period, refer to the application column “Month”. The warranty applies to component parts according to the months indicated in the application or the limitation of the corresponding mileage, whichever comes earlier, for example:

Warranty for spare parts of light vehicle:

• 1 month or 2000 km.

• 2 months or 4000 km.

• 3 months or 6,000 km.

• 6 months or 10,000 km.

• 12 months or 40,000 km.

(This warranty applies in the case of the full replacement of repairable set of motor belt with all rollers and water pump. No warranty shall be applied to the belt damage caused by damage of the water pump).

• 24 months or 40,000 km.         

 

The warranty envisages no repair or replacement of the parts if the conditions for normal operation of the vehicle are violated, including:

• misuse of the car;

• to the damages resulting from misuse;

 • in case of mechanical damage;

• to the damage resulting from alternations made to the vehicle structure (modification / alteration, unauthorized intervention);

• to the damage resulting from natural disasters and / or accidents;

• to the damage resulting from operation in extreme conditions, overloading;

• to the damage resulting from negligence;

• in case of use of parts / materials of other car;

• in case of use of bad-quality or inappropriate fuel;

• in case of failure to follow with recommendations and notes of the service;

• the shock absorber can be replaced under warranty only if there is a leakage (clear leakage of oil, not oil weeping), excluding the cases where a factory defect is detected directly upon installation and oil leakage is revealed or noise is observed during operation. 

 

Warranty terms after a car engine overhaul:

 • the warranty period is determined by 12 months or 20000 km., whichever comes earlier;

• the warranty condition applies only to those spare parts and works performed that were purchased at the service center of Tegeta Motors LLC;

• the first oil change after engine repair should be carried out within the range of 1500-2000km mileage;

• the engine oil change interval must be followed with and must not exceed 8000-10 0000km. for synthetic oils;

• during each oil change, the fuel filter must be replaced (also the air filter, if necessary);

• engine oil must be changed and filter should be replaced at the service center of Tegeta Motors LLC (at any branch) with oil and filters recommended by the mentioned company.

·  

No warranty applies and warranty validity terminates:

• if during the repair the recommendations of the service of Tegeta Motors LLC were not taken into account and they are recorded in the application, thereafter in the acceptance certificate;

• in case of noncompliance with the above-listed conditions;

• if any kind of repair of an engine has been accomplished by other service center;

• in the event of a fluid level decrease (antifreeze, engine oil), to the damages resulted thereafter; A fluid level decrease below the permissible norms established by a manufacturer is implied;   

• in case of violation of the engine operating temperature;

• in the event of the damage caused by natural disasters or flooding;

• to the mechanical damages such as a road accident, etc.

 

A warranty for a number of parts is issued only if related component parts are replaced as well:

 

• air sensor - the air filter is to be changed;

• ignition coil - the spark plug is to be changed;

• shock absorber ––is to be replaced on one axle in a pair, absorber limiter (in case of knocking - first of all  - shock mount);

• turbocharger - the air filter, engine oil, air- dehumidifier filter (if any) are to be replaced,  it is necessary to flush the intercooler;

• steering pump - the hydraulic oil tank is to be replaced (not to be flushed);

• сlutch kit - the clutch plate,  connecting gear and clutch bearing (if necessary - a flywheel) are to be replaced;

• air conditioner compressor – the gaskets, filter (air- dehumidifier), air- dehumidifier receiver are to be replaced;

• water pump - the coolant (antifreeze) is to be changed;

• hub and hub bearing – the hub oil seal (if any), garnet (if the part working on the hub oil seal is damaged), sealer (if any);

• fuel pump — the fuel filter is to be replaced (if necessary, the fuel tank is to be flushed);

• main brake tank - brake fluid is to be changed;

• air compressor (in the case of trucks) - the air filter, air dehumidifier filter, engine oil are to be changed.

 

In case of replacement of a component part during the warranty period, the warranty period remains the same and is calculated according to the initial sale document. A complete replacement of a part / unit damaged as a result of a factory defect is permissible only if repair (restoration, adjustment, surface scaling, etc.) and / or replacement of spare parts are not possible. The parts replaced as a result of warranty repairs are property of Tegeta Motors.

 

 

Warranty for truck spare parts:

For the warranty period, refer to the application column “Month”. The warranty applies to component parts according to the months indicated in the application or the limitation of the corresponding mileage, whichever comes earlier, for example:

• 1 month or 5,000 km.

• 3 months or 10,000 km.

• 6 months or 20,000 km.

 

The warranty envisages no repair or replacement of the parts if the conditions for normal operation of the vehicle are violated, including:

  • misuse of the car;

  • to the damages resulting from misuse;

  • to the mechanical damages;

  • to the damages resulting from alternations made to the vehicle structure (modification / alteration, unauthorized intervention);

  • to the damage resulting from natural disasters and / or accidents;

  • to the damage resulting from operation in extreme conditions, overloading;

  • to the damage resulting from negligence;

  • use of parts / materials of other car;

  • use of bad-quality or inappropriate fuel;

  • in case of failure to follow with recommendations and notes of the service;

  • the shock absorber can be replaced under warranty only if there is a leakage (clear leakage of oil, not oil weeping), excluding the cases where a factory defect is detected directly upon installation and oil leakage is revealed or noise is observed during operation. 

 

Warranty terms after a truck engine overhaul:

  • the warranty period is determined by 6 months or 20000km. (if dump truck), 40000km. (if tarpaulin long-haul truck), whichever comes earlier;

  • the warranty condition applies only to those spare parts and works performed that were purchased at the service center of Tegeta Motors LLC;

  • the first oil change after engine repair should be carried out within the range of 1500-2000km mileage;

  • engine oil must be changed and oil filter must be replaced at the service center of Tegeta Motors LLC with the oil and filters recommended by the mentioned company, the recommendations of the company regarding the oil change intervals should also be followed with;

  • during each oil change, computer diagnostics and a replacement of the fuel filter must be carried out, and if necessary, also an air filter must be replaced.

 

No warranty applies and /or warranty validity terminates:

  • for new or used parts brought by the owner and their service life, or the damage caused thereafter;

  • if during the repair the recommendations of the service of Tegeta Motors LLC were not taken into account and they are recorded in the application, thereafter in the acceptance certificate;

  • if any kind of repair of an engine has been accomplished by other service center;

  • in the event of a fluid level decrease, to the damages resulted thereafter;

  • in case of violation of the engine operating temperature;

  • to the mechanical damages;

  • in the event of the damage caused by  natural disasters or /and road accident;

The parts replaced as a result of warranty repairs are property of Tegeta Motors.

 

  Warranty terms for the engine of special equipments:

 

  • the warranty period is determined by 6 months or 1000 m/h., whichever comes earlier;

  • the warranty condition applies only to those spare parts and works performed that were purchased at the service center of Tegeta Motors LLC;

  • the first oil change and oil filter replacement after engine start should be carried out within the range of 50 m/h (maximum 3 months);

  • during each oil change,  a replacement of the fuel filter and air filter must be carried out.  

  • engine oil must be changed and oil filter must be replaced at the service center of Tegeta Motors LLC with the oil and filters supplied by the mentioned company (during the warranty period). 

 

No warranty applies and warranty validity terminates:

 

  • if during the repair the recommendations of the service of Tegeta Motors LLC were not taken into account and they are recorded in the application, thereafter in the acceptance certificate;

  • in case of the above-listed failures;

  • if any repair has been attempted without consultation with “Tegeta Motors” LLC;

  • in the event of a fluid level (antifreeze, engine oil) decrease, to the damages resulted thereafter;

  • in case of violation of the engine operating temperature;

  • to the mechanical damages;

  • if any kind of repair of an engine has been accomplished by other service center;

  • in case of malfunctioning of the engine protective system;

  • in case of the damage caused by flooding or natural disasters;

  • to any part of the engine system damaged as a result of a road accident;

  • in case of using fuel, except for the fuel of the brand, standard (EN590) required by a manufacturer, as well as when foreign particles (steel, water, etc.) get into the fuel system.

 

In case of replacement of a component part during the warranty period, the warranty period remains the same and is calculated according to the initial sale document. A complete replacement of a part / unit damaged as a result of a factory defect is permissible only if repair (restoration, adjustment, surface scaling, etc.) and / or replacement of spare parts are not possible. The parts replaced as a result of warranty repairs are property of Tegeta Motors LLC.

 

 

Warranty terms for fuels and lubricants: 

 

The warranty applies to fuels and lubricants regarding their quality and the selection of the permissible oil specified by a manufacturer for a particular vehicle. No warranty applies to oil, air and fuel filters.  All cases are considered individually.

 

Rapidly wearing parts:

The following components belong to rapidly wearing parts:

  • air, oil and fuel filters;

  • electrical fuses and lamps;

  • clutch friction plates;

  • squeegees of windshield wipers;

  • working fluids and lubricants;

  • engine coolant.

 

Warranty terms for tires:

The tires are covered by a warranty, implying replacement with new ones in case of a factory defect taking into account the residual value. Specific damages are considered individually.

  

No warranty applies and warranty validity terminates:

  • in case of mechanical damage to the tire;

  • in case of operation under high / low internal pressure and overloading;

  • in case of attempt of unauthorized restoration / repair of the tire;

  • in the event of a malfunctioned chassis (which should be related to the operation of the tire);

  • incorrect wheel toe-in;

  • misuse of tires, etc.

 

In case of replacement of a component part during the warranty period, the warranty period remains the same and is calculated according to the initial sale document. 

 

Warranty terms for equipments:

  • a warranty is provided to the buyer in the event of a factory defect of the tool;

  • a warranty is provided to the buyer in case of operation of the tool   under the correct conditions.

 

No warranty applies:

• in case of misusing the tool;

• in case of using unsuitable tool accessories or additional equipments of other manufacturer (drills, discs, peaks, etc.);

• in case of the damage caused by overloading (which entailed failure of the armature, starter, etc.) or insufficient ventilation;

• in case of mechanical damage (cracks, scratches, fractures, etc.);

• in case of the damage resulting from rust on metal parts and a foreign body in the ventilation grill;

• if a consumer, on his own initiative, has made repairs, changed the internal configuration or electric scheme of the goods;

• to naturally wearing parts (carbon brushes, toothed belts, rubber surrounds, filler blocks, protective cases, idler rollers, bushings, etc.);

• for replaceable accessories (chucks, spring collets, etc.), working equipment (drills, discs, hacksaws, etc.);

• in case of complete wear of carbon brushes, which may entail failure of rotor (stator);

• for the tools on which the vehicle identification number is deleted;

• for tool maintenance, for example: cleaning, flushing, lubrication, etc .;

• in case of damage and malfunction caused by improper transportation and storage;

• in case of an attempt of unauthorized repair and lubrication during the warranty period;

• for additional equipments: carbons, rubber rings, belts, lubricants, bank of accumulators and a charging device.

 

Maximum allowable installation time:

  • Tbilisi - 5 days from the date of purchase,

  • Eastern Georgia - 1 week from the date of purchase;

  • Western Georgia - 2 weeks from the date of purchase.

 

Maximum response time on warranty claim:

  • Tbilisi - 3 working days from the moment of the call;

  • Eastern Georgia - 1 week from the moment of the call;

  • Western Georgia - 2 weeks from the time of the call;

  • in case of ordering any parts -   21 calendar days added.

 

During the warranty period, repairs are free. The maximum term intended for repair work is 20 calendar days from the date of delivery of the tool for repair. In case of replacement of a part during the warranty period, the warranty period remains the same and is calculated according to the initial sale document. A complete replacement of a part / unit damaged as a result of a factory defect is permissible only if repair (restoration, adjustment,   etc.) and / or replacement of spare parts are not possible. The parts replaced as a result of warranty repairs are property of Tegeta Motors LLC.

 

Battery Warranty:

The warranty period for batteries is determined for a period of 6 to 34 months depending to the brand and technical characteristics of the vehicle.

No warranty applies if:

  • the battery is not installed in the standard housing;

  • there is an attempt to repair;

  • there are mechanical damages;

  • malfunctioned electrical equipment of the vehicle;

  • other substances get into the battery;

  • there is no seller’s signature, stamp in the warranty document;

  • there is no buyer’s signature in the warranty document;

  • the vehicle on which the battery is installed was not submitted for inspection;

  • the regular warranty inspection periods have not been observed;

  • the barcode of the presented battery does not match with the number of the warranty document;

  • uninterrupted operation time of the battery exceeds 5 seconds;

  • the battery is overloaded;

  • the barcode, label and serial number printed on the battery are damaged, it is impossible to read the information.

     

 If technical malfunction of a battery is detected, the seller retains the right:  

  • to leave the battery for  2 days-and-nights;

  • to restore the battery to service, in case of necessity - to repair it;

  • to replace the battery with the battery of the same class made by other manufacturer , suitable for the vehicle.

 

In case of replacement of a component during the warranty period, the warranty period remains the same and is calculated according to the initial sale document.  The parts replaced as a result of warranty repairs are property of Tegeta Motors LLC.

 

Warranty terms after repair of a fuel system in a diesel service center:

  • the warranty terms apply to all spare parts and work performed that were purchased in the service center of Tegeta Motors LLC (except for the spare parts and work performed that are not considered as completed, for example, when an injector or fuel pump is not installed by a Tegeta Motor’s spannerman) ;

  • for spare parts and units of the fuel system that were restored at the Tegeta Motors service center but were not installed on the car by the Tegeta Motor’s spannerman, a warranty period of 1 month, 250 moto / hours or 5,000 km is provisionally provided. Each case is considered individually, which does not mean that all cases will be satisfied;

  • in the event of the overhaul with the premium class spare parts (BOSCH, DENSO, DELPHI, VDO SIEMENS), the warranty period for the work performed is determined for a period of 6 months or 20 00 km. or 500 moto / hours (in the case of special equipments), whichever comes earlier.

For the work performed with spare parts provided by alternative manufacturers or in case of incomplete repair, the warranty period is determined by one month, 5,000 km. or 250 moto / hours (in the case of special equipments), whichever comes earlier;

  • replacement of the fuel filter and engine service after repair of the fuel system should be made after  the mileage  not exceeding   250 moto / hours, 5,000 km. or after 6 months (whichever comes earlier).

  • replacement of the fuel filter (s) should be done with the  filters purchased at the Tegeta Motors service center;

 

In case of the problems raised on the units or vehicle repaired during the warranty period, the vehicle or units must be delivered to the Tegeta Motors’ diesel service center by the owner of the equipment or units. Tegeta Motors does not reimburse transportation costs to the owner. If transportation by the owner is impossible and the Tegeta Motors’ maintenance party must carry out repairs on the spot, the cost of the business trip is paid by the owner of the equipment or unit.

 

No warranty applies and warranty validity terminates:

  • if during the repair the recommendations of the service of Tegeta Motors LLC were not taken into account (for example, the fuel tank was not flushed, the fuel filter was not replaced, the engine had other damage that could damage the fuel system, etc.) and they are recorded in the application, thereafter in the acceptance certificate;

  • in case of noncompliance with the above-listed conditions;

  • if any kind of repair of an engine has been accomplished by other service center;

  • in the event of a fluid level decrease and to the damages resulted thereafter;

  • in case of violation of the engine operating temperature;

  • in case of external mechanical damage to the engine;

  • if any dirt, water or other impurities are found in the fuel tank, except for the fuel that meets the requirements established by manufacturer (EN590):

  • in the event of the damages caused by  natural disasters or flooding;

  • to any part of the engine system damaged in a road accident.

 

In case of replacement of a component part during the warranty period, the warranty period remains the same and is calculated according to the initial sale document. A complete replacement of a part / unit damaged as a result of a factory defect is permissible only if repair (restoration, adjustment, etc.) and / or replacement of spare parts are not possible. The parts replaced as a result of warranty repairs are property of Tegeta Motors LLC.
